As the world speeds up, we need to slow down
It's easy to feel overwhelmed today. We're constantly bombarded with news about how the world is shifting under our feet.
Will AI take our jobs? Is a new world war breaking out? Will everyday things become unaffordable?
Yes, things are changing. But that doesn't mean you have to feel out of control, tossed around like a ragdoll by every news story or new advancement.
If anything, it means we need to be more intentional than ever. We need to slow down enough to be present with where we are and what matters to us, then take deliberate steps toward the life we actually want.
A few years ago, I started a blog called Simple Living Daily. I wrote about choosing your own priorities and not chasing the next thing. Then life happened. I started a business, we got busy with kid activities, and technology advanced quickly. Somewhere along the way, I realized I'd been living the very speed I used to write about resisting. Slow is my way of coming back to those same questions, with more experience and a lot more happening in the world around us.
What is Slow?
Slow is a weekly publication about living an intentional life in a busy world. We'll talk about everyday life: work, money, relationships, technology, and more.
This is not an anti-technology blog. It's not about moving to a cabin in the woods and swearing off electricity. It's about learning to thrive in a fast-paced world by slowing down enough to live with purpose.
